7 Ways to Spice Up Your Avocado Toast

Avocado toast has gone mainstream these days but that doesn't mean we should take it for granted. Here are 7 ways to upgrade your morning toast.

1. Cottage Cheese + Pepitas

Smear a dollop of low fat cottage cheese and a sprinkle of pepitas on your avocado toast for a protein boost.

2. Egg + Garam Masala

Smash a soft-boiled or poached egg on your avocado toast and sprinkle with garam masala or another Indian spice blend such as curry powder.

3. Tomato + Basil

Super simple - chop up cherry tomatoes and put them on avocado toast with shreds of fresh basil. Add a sprinkle of black pepper.

4. Strawberries + Balsamic Vinegar

Top your avocado toast with sliced strawberries and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

5. Bacon + Goat Cheese

Sprinkle your avocado toast with crumbles of cooked bacon and a handful of goat cheese.

6. Cream Cheese + Everything But the Bagel Seasoning

Smear your toasted bread with cream cheese, add avocado and then sprinkle on a healthy serving of your favorite everything but the bagel blend.

7. Hummus + Red Onion

Smear your toasted bread with your favorite hummus, add avocado and top with slices of red onion.
